We understand that traveling overseas can be a daunting adventure when you are not feeling well. In order to avoid unwanted and unexpected surprises, much planning is needed beforehand. The goal of the Nilai Medical Centre International Patient Relations is to ensure a great patient care experience through a personal touch and paying attention to details so that patients receive comprehensive and customized health services.

The Patient Relations Department coordinates the medical and personal needs for international and outstation patients and their companions prior to arrival and during their stay. These services include:

  • Appointment scheduling with Nilai Medical Centre specialist consultants
  • Coordination of admissions process
  • Contact with patient’s local/home country doctor prior to arriving at Nilai Medical Centre
  • Assistance with financial arrangements including advance estimates for fees, deposits, and payments
  • Assistance with coordination with Nilai Medical Centre agent in home country
  • Travel arrangements from home country
  • Transportation arrangements including airport pick up
  • Specially-prepared meals upon request
  • Information on day trips and tours
  • Find a translator


Transportation may be arranged as per the following:

  • Free pick-up from and drop off at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) or Low Cost Carrier Airport - Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2)
  • Free drop off to KTM Train or Bus Station at Nilai
  • Weekly marketing / shopping at Tesco / Giant Hypermarket, Nilai
  • Free trips for visa extension at Immigration Department in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan
  • Pick up arrangement from a local location to be specified

Patient Referral Services for Referring Doctors

Nilai Medical Centre International Patient Relations will facilitate the process of a systematic approach to enhance the efficiency of patient referral whilst minimizing inconveniences to international patients and their referring doctors.

Preparations are made in advance to ensure that the patient is assured of both logistic arrangements and preparations directly related to the most efficient and effective access to appropriate clinical care and attention. This includes:

  • Communication between referring doctor and NMC Consultant before the patient receives treatment at Nilai Medical Centre, during the patient's stay, and after returning home
  • Assessment of patient's case prior to travel to facilitate referral decisions
  • Coordination of appointments and treatment schedules to minimize hospital stays
  • Upon discharge, follow-up plans provided to referring doctor for continuity of care
